From Narendra Modi to Arvind Kejriwal, political leaders across spectrum mourn Jayalalithaa’s death

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalitha passed away at the age of 68 on Monday.

Announcing the death of the Jayalalithaa Apollo hospital said that she died due to cardiac arrest and breath her last at 11:30pm. With the death of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa, O Panneerselvam will be the next Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.

Political leaders including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal took to Twitter asserting that they were extremely saddened to hear the news of Jayalalithaa’s demise.

Deeply saddened at the passing away of Selvi Jayalalithaa. Her demise has left a huge void in Indian politics.
