Narendra Modi received a grand welcome in Surat on April 16 during his first visit to the city since he became the Prime Minister. We all know that Narendra Modi is known to address rallies is local language but a time came when he choose to speak in Hindi, keeping aside his mother tongue Gujarati.
Earlier, PM Narendra Modi inaugurated the Kiran Hospital in Surat built at a cost of Rs 400 crore by a trust which has Patidars as members in the majority. While addressing the Patidars, PM Modi said, I was in a dilemma whether to speak in Hindi or Gujarati.
The PM said, “I was in a dilemma whether to speak in Hindi or Gujarati, but then since you have done such a big job, I decided to speak in Hindi so the country knows about the good job done.”

PM Modi arrived in Silvassa, Dadar & Nagar Haveli where he will inaugurate various govt projects including Passport Seva Kendra & Jan Aushadhi Kendras.
The Prime Minister in Saurashtra will inaugurate phase-1 of the ambitious Saurashtra Narmada Avtaran Irrigation project for Botad and surrounding districts and also lay the foundation stone for the phase-2.
He posted a Tweet sharing images of the grand welcome received in Surat. PM Modi thanked people of Surat for the affection.
