Fake Rs 2000/Rs 500 notes worth Rs 6.1 lakh seized in Delhi, 2 held

Earlier on January 9, four persons, including a woman, were arrested and fake currency notes with a face value of Rs 41,000 seized from them in Muzaffarnagar.

In a shocking move, Delhi Police on Monday arrested two persons for printing fake new Rs 500 and Rs 2000 currency notes through computers.

During the operation, the police also seized fake currency worth Rs 6.1 lakh from them.

Further investigations are on.

Earlier on January 9, four persons, including a woman, were arrested and fake currency notes with a face value of Rs 41,000 seized from them in Muzaffarnagar, police informed.

The four came under police scanner when their vehicle was checked.

“Twenty fake notes in denomination of 2,000, a Rs 100 note, two pistols and a car have been seized from them,” police officials informed.
