#ChennaiRains: These unsung heroes helped flood-affected victims risking their lives

Hats off to these beautiful, selfless souls

Clogged roads, power cuts, stranded people, Chennai is once again reliving the painful memories of the deluge of 2015. The city, in the past week, has been hit by incessant rains and once again, many parts of Chennai is underwater. The northeast monsoon set in on October 27  and so far, the death toll in the city has gone up to 14.

In this time of crisis, there are people who are battling the flood situation and bravely helping marooned residents. From Chennai Police to sanitary workers, these people are selflessly contributing to the rescue operations and their efforts are admirable. These people are putting their own lives at stake to help others and make things normal again as soon as possible.

Here are the unsung heroes who are helping others at this time of crisis. Hats off to them!
