CBSE Class 12 results 2017: Above 10,000 students secured 95%, pass percentage lower than 2016

In CBSE Class 12 exams, a total number of students appeared were 10,20,762 while 8,37,229 cleared the exams and 1,03,855 have to reappear for the exams as they have been placed for compartment exams

After getting postponed for a number of times, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 12 results 2017 has been declared on the official website of the board. Surprisingly, this year, a total of around 10,091 students scored at least 95 per cent.

The total number of students who have scored more than 90 per cent is 63.247. This year’s topper Raksha Gopal has scored a total of 99.6 per cent after obtaining 498 marks out of 500. She stood first all over the country while Chandigarh’s Bhumi Sawant secured 497 marks while the third position has been shared by Aditya Jain and Mannat Luthra scoring 496 marks.

This year, a total of 10,20,762 students appeared to take the exam while 8,37,229 cleared the exams while 1,03,855 have to reappear for the exams as they have been placed for compartment exams. From Delhi alone, a total number of 2,58,321 appeared to take the exams. On the other hand, the education board has also set up a helpline number for those who need counselling post results.

Also, in comparison to the previous year, this year’s pass percentage is  82.02 per cent which is less by 1.03 per cent. In 2016, the pass percentage was 83.05.

As stated by the official, 65 counsellors will take care of the students and parents on the helpline number. The facility will be available between 8 am to 10 pm. The helpline number is 18000118004 for psychological counselling.

The results have been declared on the official website of the board cbse.nic.in which has been supported by the National Informatics Centre (NIC) of the Department of Information Technology, Communications and Information Technology Ministry.
