Days after a number of Jawans went on to post a series of videos online to show the hardships they face, the army had set up a WhatsApp number for its soldiers to share their problems directly with General Bipin Rawat instead to going to social media.

Army Chief General Bipin Rawat had come out and said that he will investigate the matter if needed. He further stated that the jawans should go with their grievances directly to him instead of using social media. He affirmed that the jawans using social media to put their problems forth also impacts the soldiers fighting on the borders.

Tej Bahadur, who claimed to be from the 29th battalion of the Border Security Force in Jammu and Kashmir, had in a series of videos said that the government has been doing enough to provide the security forces with essential items, but it is the BSF officials who are indulged in the wrong doings. However, the BSF refuted all the allegations and claimed that the soldier was just a “habitual offender”.
