Andhra Minister’s son killed in car accident, was allegedly speeding a Mercedes Benz

Andhra Minister's son Nishith Narayana was killed along with his friend after his Mercedes-Benz crashed into a metro rail pillar

Son of Andhra Pradesh Minister, Dr P Narayana identified as Nishith Narayana and his friend was killed after their car rammed into a metro rail pillar in the Hyderabad city of the state. The incident reportedly took place at about 3 AM when 23-year-old Nishith was driving back home along with his friend.

The impact of the crash was such that the airbags of their swanky Mercedez Benz could not help. According to several news reports,  Nishith who driving the car was allegedly speeding when the accident took place. However, some of the reports suggest that the accident took place because of heavy rain. The police are currently investigating the matter.

Both of them were rushed to the Apollo hospital but were declared dead-on-arrival by the doctors. The deceased’s father P Narayana was reportedly out of town at the time of the accident and is now return back from London.

“A watchman sleeping nearby told us that he woke up when he heard a big noise between 2 -2:30 am and found that the SUV had hit the pillar. The car must have been travelling at high speed because due to the impact, chips of concrete came off the solid metro rail pillar,’’Indian Express quoted a police officer as saying. However, the police officials asserted they could not ascertain whether it is a case of drunk driving till they receive the post-mortem report.

Nishith was also the director of the family-run Narayana Group of Educational Institutions. The funeral will take place on May 11 in Nellore.
