As strange as it may sound, a man tried to get an aadhaar card made in the name of 9/11 mastermind Osama Bin Laden. Here's what happened

A 35-year-old man identified as Saddam Mansuri has been booked by the police officials in Rajasthan after he made an attempt to get an Aadhaar card made in the name of dead al-Qaeda terrorist Osama Bin Laden. Mansuri reportedly runs an Aadhaar registration centre in Mandal area of Rajasthan.

According to the news reports, Masuri who went on to fill the form in the name of the slain Islamic terrorist who was considered as the mastermind of the 9/11 attacks. Not just the name, Mansuri event used the picture of Osama to get the Aadhaar card application form. The incident came to light after the officials at the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) figured some irregularities in the application and wasted no time in reporting the issue.

“Mansuri filled Abbottabad, district Bhilwara as Laden’s address; he also uploaded a picture of the terrorist which was blurred. He did not upload details such as thumb impression or identification proof,” an official told the Times of India. The officials filed a FIR against Mansuri after they were made aware of the errors by the technical team.

“Our technical team in New Delhi found the anomalies highly suspicious and informed Rajasthan department of information and technology. I received a call from Jaipur office and immediately filed an FIR,” TOI quoted an IT department official Sanjay Aludia as saying.

Reports suggest that after the police gets hold of all the necessary documents, they will interrogate Mansuri and try to find out the reason why he wanted to get an Aadhaar card in the name of Osama Bin Laden.
