Mukesh Ambani further consolidated his top position in Forbes list of richest Indians in 2016, with net worth of his nearest competitor, Dilip Shanghvi, falling by $1.1 billion compared to last year.
According to Forbes, the list was put together using financial information from a variety of sources including data obtained from business families,and data from stock exchanges and India’s regulatory agencies among others.

2. Dilip Shanghvi
Second to Mukesh Ambani, Sun Pharamceutical’s head had assets worth $16.9 billion.

The Hinduja Brothers, Srichand, Gopichand, Prakash and Ashok, manage the diversified Hinduja Group and a combined worth of $15.2 billion.
4. Azim Premji
Wipro Group’s Azim Premji is fourth richest Indian in the world, having amassed a fortune of $15.1 billion.

The former chairman of Shapoorji Pallonji Group and father of expelled former Tata Group chairman Cyrus Mistry, Pallonji Mistry’s net worth is $13.9 billion.
