Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil gets police protection

Mumbai Police will provide adequate protection to Cinema Theaters as and when required

Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil has been in news ever since MNS leaders decided to ban the film due to the presence of Pakistani actor Fawad Khan. After the Uri attacks, they had issued the threat of banning all the films featuring Pakistani actors.

The film, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai, Anushka Sharma, has faced the brunt with each passing day. After the single screens association decided to ban the film in four states — Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa and parts of Karnataka, MNS yesterday announced that they will not let the film release even in the multiplexes in the state.

MNS leader Amey Khopkar said, “We will oppose the screening of the movie everywhere in the state. If any multiplex operator dares to screen the film, they will have to face the repercussions.”

10 days before the release of the film, Karan Johar has decided to take help from the Mumbai Police. Today morning, Karan Johar along with the Mukesh Bhatt (President of film and Television Producers Guild of India) and Vijay Singh of Fox Studio had talks with Joint Commissioner of Police, in Mumbai.

Mukesh Bhatt talking about MNS said,“MNS is my brother , only with different thinking. I can only appeal to my brother to go on in peace.”

However, Mumbai Police has come out in full support. “We Mumbai Police will provide adequate protection to Cinema Theaters as and when required. This is Mumbai Police’s responsibility. We will give security and ensure that no one will break the law and order,” said DCP Ashok Dudhe, of Mumbai Police.

Now we just have to wait and see what new threat is MNS going to come out with after this statement of Mumbai Police.

Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is slated to release on 28 October.
