Saif Ali Khan, who will be seen in his upcoming film Chef has landed into trouble for illegal parking of his vanity van. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) is planning to take action against Saif over illegally parking his vanity van and installing tents sans permission. The Rangoon actor has also been informed that he’s will be penalised for the offence.

The BMC has asked Khan to move his van currently situated on a ground next to St. Xavier’s campus.

According to the reports, the actor had taken permission to shoot in the St. Xavier’s premises from the Mumbai police, but he hadn’t approached the BMC, under whose jurisdiction the property comes.

Despite the BMC asking the unit to clear the spot, the shooting had been held. Officials later removed the van and cleared the property of the tents.

In Chef, Saif will be seen essaying the main lead in the Hindi adaptation of Jon Favreau’s Hollywood movie Chef with the same name.

The film was earlier scheduled to hit the screens on July 14, with Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif starrer Jagga Jasoos. However, it seems to avoid the clash at the Box Office the makers have now pushed the release date of the film to October 2017.

Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Vikram Malhotra, and Bandra West Pictures, the movie is being helmed by director Raja Krishna Menon. The original American comedy-drama, which was released in 2014, was written, produced and directed by Jon Favreau. The film revolves around the life of a professional chef, who quits his job at a popular Los Angeles restaurant to launch a food truck with his friend and son.

Saif, who was last seen in Vishal Bharadwaj’s Rangoon has Bazaar in his kitty.
