Raees by rail: Shah Rukh Khan fans lathicharged in Kota & Vadodara as crowd go berserk on his arrival

Additional security has been deployed after the crowd went crazy to catch a glimpse of Shah Rukh Khan who is train to promote Raees.

While Shah Rukh Khan is going to a whole different level to promote his film Raees, the police had to resort to lathicharge to disperse the crowd who went berserk upon the arrival in the Kota and Vadodara station in  Gujarat. Earlier today, in a minor stampede like situation, one person died at the Vadodara railway station due to breathlessness as the crowd went crazy trying to catch a sight of superstar Shah Rukh Khan. Yesterday, the actor boarded August Kranti express from Mumbai to promote his movie. Meanwhile, one company of armed police forces has been deployed in Hazarat Nizamuddin Railway station in Delhi to control the crowd.

While speaking about the person who lost his life during the Raees promotion said that it was “extremely unfortunate incident and his prayers are with the deceased.”

While speaking about why he chose to take this route to promote his movie, Shah Rukh said that the team wanted to cover maximum number of cities in minimum  time and that he did not travel by the train in the longest time.

Along with Shah Rukh, producer Ritesh Sidhwani, director Rahul Dholakia and actress Sunny Leone have boarded the train in the second A/C compartment. The train- August Kranti started its journey yesterday evening from Bombay Central at evening 5 pm and is arrived in Delhi at about 10:55 am at the Hazrat Nizamuddin station.
