Kabir Khan can’t understand Baahubali 2 success, says no Box Office pressure for Tubelight

Kabir Khan shared his views on the comparisons between Tubelight starring Salman Khan and Baahubali 2. Here's what he said

Kabir Khan’s directorial Tubelight, starring Salman Khan is all set to release on 23 June. In one of the recent interviews, Kabir spoke about his journey with Salman Khan from Ek Tha Tiger and working with him the third time. He also shared his views on the Box Office expectations and the fact that Tubelight might be compared withSS Rajamouli’s magnum opus Baahubali: The Conclusion. Terming Baahubali as an extraordinary phenomenon that took place at the Box Office, he shared his thoughts whether Tubelight could break its records.

When asked about beating the records set by Baahubali at the Box Office, the Bajrangi Bhaijan director said “Baahubali was an extraordinary phenomenon. I think nobody in the near future can come with those numbers at the Box Office.”

Knowing that the Tubelight and Baahubali are of different genres Kabir did not want to succumb to the pressure of the latter. Kabir jokingly said, “We have enough pressures in life and I definitely don’t want to take the pressure of numbers set by Baahubali.”

Praising the success of Baahubali and calling SS Rajamouli the true star of the film, Kabir said: “I am still trying to analyse what worked for them.”

Soon after its release on 28 April in India, Baahuali 2 took the Box Office by storm. The period war drama has already set several records including entering into 1000 crore worldwide club and the film’s Hindi version has become the first Indian film to hit the Rs 500 crore mark domestically.

Talking about its worldwide collection, the Prabhas starrer epic saga has collected Rs 1567 crore, according to latest record.
