Kaabil box office collection Day 14: Hrithik Roshan film makes its hold stronger in India and Pakistan

Things have taken a u-turn after Pakistan decided to lift the ban as Hrithik's Kaabil became the first Hindi film to open in Pak, leaving Raees far behind

Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil and Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees are competing against each other from the very beginning. While Raees received a much higher opening at the box office, Kaabil opened to a decent collection. But, it was the Shah Rukh starrer that remained ahead in terms of collections.

Now, it seems like things have taken a U-turn after Pakistan lifted the ban and decided to screen Indian films. Kaabil became the first Hindi film to open in Pakistan after the ban was lifted, leaving Raees far behind. Raees was banned in Pakistan, as the censor board says that the film contains some objectionable scenes which show Pakistan in a bad light and undermine Islam.

Kaabil released on the Pakistani screens on February 2 and managed to collect Rs 2 crore till Sunday. Not only in Pakistan, but the film is doing great domestically as well as in the international market.

The film did a business of Rs 2.97 crore on Monday and Rs 3.05 crore on Tuesday, minting a total of Rs 124.16 crore so far domestically. And with Kaabil doing extremely well at the box office, daddy Rakesh Roshan, who was earlier upset with the Raees and Kaabil clash look happy now.

In an interview with IANS, daddy Roshan thanked the audience for showering so much love on Kaabil and said:

Very good for us that both the films are doing well. Saara zamaana, cinema ka deewana. It is big happiness for all of us because we made the film with a lot of hard work and passion. The audience has given lots of love to the film and this gives us more happiness and energy to come up with more good films in future.

Directed by Sanjay Gupta and produced by Rakesh Roshan, Kaabil is a very inspiring story that celebrates the unexplored potential of an individual. This is for the first time that Hrithik has played the character of a blind man on-screen and the actor is been applauded for his mind-blowing performance by one and all.
