Judwaa 2 Tan Tana Tan song: Varun Dhawan glamourises Salman Khan’s hit song and doesn’t disappoint

Judwaa 2 featuring Taapsee Pannu, Varun Dhawan and Jacqueline Fernandez is slated to release in September this year and the first song has been released

The song Tan Tana Tan from Judwaa, the Salman Kham film which released in 1997, proved to be a memorable song for many of us. The song was a chartbuster and everyone hummed to it. Now the remake of Judwaa titled Judwaa 2, featuring Varun Dhawan, Taapsee Pannu and Jacqueline Fernandez is releasing and the new film too features the iconic song. The much-anticipated song released just a short while ago and it has managed to live up to the hype.

In the song, Varun Dhawan is showing off his incredible dancing skills. The song is crooned by Dev Negi and Neha Kakkar. The best part about the new song is that it doesn’t ruin the original version. Though this version is more glamorised, the lyrics and music are mostly same. The original song had been sung by Annu Mallik and was filmed on Salman Khan’s ‘tapori’ character Raja.

In this number, we can see the lead actors of the film enjoying the mood to the fullest during a song. All the three actors- Varun, Taapsee and Jacqueline, can be seen having the time of the life. Their expressions in the song prove they had a lot of fun shooting it. On August 24, Karisma Kapoor, who was seen in the original song, made a video with Varun asking everyone to watch out for the song. Here is the video Varun shared on Twitter:

David Dhawan, the director of the original Judwaa has helmed the remake as well. At the trailer launch of the film, when the ace director was asked about this film, he had said:

It (Judwaa 2) is more of a reboot. I made the film again because I liked something in the original film (Judwaa). I was not writing a new script. There are some 8 – 10 scenes from Judwaa that I loved and that made me make this film. It is a very today’s film. We have shot it in London, the language is very different from Judwaa but we have retained two best songs from Judwaa album

Well, the 90’s kids would be happy that songs have been retained and more so because Tan Tana Tan has not been spoiled. For those who want to listen to the original song and revive their memories, here it is:
