Amitabh Bachchan shares emotional poem on social media for friend of 48 years, Vinod Khanna

We all know that veteran Bollywood actor-turned-politician Vinod Khanna passed away after a prolonged illness on Thursday morning. Undoubtedly, his family and friends suffered a huge loss. But the one who was in complete shock is megastar Amitabh Bachchan. When the news, of Vinod’s death, broke out Big B left a media interaction in between and headed to his home to pay his last respect to the actor. Big B, who shared a great bond with the late actor even shared a heartfelt poem on his social media platform.

He took to his Facebook page and shared an emotional poem written by lyricist Prasoon Joshi for Vinod Khanna. Big B wrote: “Respect and Affection! Today is the day when I saw a 48-year-long relationship going up in flames. So, today I find every word of your creation a mirror to the truth of human life”.

Amitabh, who shared the screen with Vinod in films including Aman Akbar Anthony, Parvarish, Khoon Pasina and Muqaddar Ka Sikander among others also shared a few pictures from Vinod Khanna’s funeral. Apart from Big B, the last rites of the Qurbani star was attended by Southern superstar Rajinikanth, Asha Bhosle, Rishi Kapoor, Anupam Kher, Shatrughan Sinha, Amitabh Bachchan, his son Abhishek, Randhir Kapoor, Rishi Kapoor, Kabir Bedi, Danny Denzongpa, Arjun Rampal, Jackie Shroff, Jeetendra, Dia Mirza, Puneet Issar, writer-poet Gulzar, directors Ramesh Sippy, Ramesh Taurani, Subhash Ghai, NCP leader Praful Patel, and BJP MP Kirit Somaiya among many more.

He was hospitalized since over a month. Vinod Khanna 70 is survived by his wife, three sons and a daughter.

Khanna was admitted to Sir H.N. Reliance Foundation Hospital in the first week on April after reportedly suffering from severe dehydration.
