Akshay Kumar is leaving no stone upturned in promoting his upcoming film Toilet: Ek Prem Katha. The film also features Bhumi Pednekar, and the duo is busy promoting their film. On Sunday, both the leads of the film attended the graduation ceremony of a women’s self-defence workshop, where the Airlift actor took up the opportunity and highlighted the recent Chandigarh ‘stalking’ case. Without mentioning the name, he read out some line from a blog and revealed how a girl was harassed by some VIP’s people’s children.
“Ladies please be proactive about your own safety. Note the number of any vehicle that tries to harass you, don’t be afraid to call the cops. The minute it starts call your parents, friends, if possible and let them know where you are and the situation you are in. Try and run in the safest way possible, your life is paramount. A day before Raksha Bandhan, Akshay Kuma’s sister Alka, through a video, revealed how Akshay taught her a lesson of empowerment and that a girl should learn to take care of herself. Akshay Kumar shared the video on his Twitter page, check it out here:

On the work front, Akshay was last seen in Naam Shabana which also featured Taapsee Pannu in the female lead. He also has Reema Kagti’s Gold in his kitty, which will highlights the ups and downs of Balbir Singh, a former Indian hockey player. The film will also mark the Bollywood debut of Television actress Mouni Roy.
