After Shah Rukh Khan and Kapil Sharma, now Arjun Kapoor on BMC radar

Arjun Kapoor lives on the 7th floor of Raheja Orchid Apartment in Juhu and this is for the second time that he has been issued a notice

Arjun Kapoor is the new entrant in the list of people who are under tight scrutiny of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). The actor lives on the 7th floor of Raheja Orchid Apartment in Juhu, Mumbai and this is for the second time that he has been issued a notice for illegal construction.

According to a report in TOI, Arjun had encroached on the terrace by constructing a gym without permission and it was brought in the limelight by an activist and not by the residents of the building. The first notice was issued in March and the second one was issued last week.

While the BMC plans to raze it in a few days, the actor’s manager had approached the K-West ward officer, assistant municipal commissioner Parag Masurkar, requesting him to buy himself more time after stating that the irregularities would be regularized. In an interview with TOI, Masurkar said:

We have given them enough time to produce supporting documents to prove that the structure is legal but they failed. Now we have issued the final order asking Arjun Kapoor to allow us to enter his premises to demolish the unauthorized structure on the terrace.
