After rejecting endorsements worth Rs 18 crore, has Prabhas finally agreed to endorse THIS smartphone brand?

Prabhas did not sign any endorsement deal till he was filming Baahubali, the magnum opus of SS Rajamouli. But he may have signed one recently

Prabhas is currently being eyed by almost all companies to rope him as the face of their brand. During the filming of Baahubali, the protagonist was reportedly offered endorsements worth Rs 18 crore but he turned them down. It was said that he wanted to be dedicated to the magnum opus helmed by SS Rajamouli. But looks like one brand has managed to strike a deal with Prabhas and has convinced the Telugu superstar to endorse their brand.

According to reports, Gionee, the Chinese-based smartphone manufacturer, has brought Prabhas onboard as their brand ambassador. In a statement released to the press, Arvind R Vohra, CEO and MD of Gionee India, said, “We are extremely proud to announce our association with the mighty Prabhas. We are positive that our association with Prabhas will further our proposition of stronger batteries and better selfies.”

Gionee already has been endorsed by Virat Kohli, Alia Bhatt, Shruti Haasan, Dulquer Salmaan and Diljit Dosanjh. And now by making Prabhas their face, the company has definitely struck gold.

Prabhas’ immense dedication for Baahubali was revealed when SS Rajamouli said, “Prabhas had three consecutive hits and producers kept running after him with money but he only focused on Baahubali. He instructed his manager not to demand anything from producers and take anything they give.” Heaping praises on the star, Rajamouli said he was happy to find someone as dedicated as Prabhas.

The actor on the other side had said that for him the biggest compliment was the fact that Rajamouli wrote the character Baahubali for him. Both the parts of the Baahubali franchise’s performance at the Box Office was stupendous. The second instalment- Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, became the first Indian movie to earn Rs 1000 crore all over the world. The movie is still running in theatres and its dream run at the Box Office is showing no signs of ending.
