After Dear Zindagi, Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil in legal trouble for plagiarism

The makers of Hrithik Roshan's Kaabil are slapped with a legal notice for plagiarism by America's biggest streaming and production company Netflix

Recently, the team of Shah Rukh Khan and Alia Bhatt starrer Dear Zindagi received a legal notice from the makers of Canadian TV series Being Erica for copyright infringement. And now the makers of Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil are slapped with a legal notice for plagiarism. America’s one of the biggest streaming and production companies Netflix is suing the film for plagiarising their original production Daredevil.

Directed by Sanjay Gupta, Kaabil is the story of a blind man who fights all the odds to live the way he wants to. An action-thriller film, Kaabil is very much similar to that of Netflix’s original series Daredevil.

A source close to the production house told DNA that there are some strikingly similar sequences between the series and Hrithik’s Kaabil. He said:

Protagonists of both the productions are blind while even the action sequences look the same. The colour schemes are also similar. This has upset Netflix and they will be taking legal action against Rakesh Roshan’s FilmKraft Productions and Sanjay Gupta’s White Feature Films.

Well, this is not the first time that Sanjay Gupta’s films are under the plagiarism scanner. His latest release Jazbaa was also an official remake of South Korean film Seven Days. His other plagiarised films include names like Kaante and Zinda.
