Arvind Kejriwal accuses Congress of helping BJP, backstabbing people of Punjab

Arvind Kejriwal accused the Badals and Capt. Amrinder of being in cahoots to ensure nobody from either party loses their seat.

A few days ahead of the Punjab state assembly polls, Aam Aadmi Party head and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has targeted the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) through his tweet and have accused SAD and Congress leaders Sukhbir Singh Badal and Capt. Amrinder Singh of being in cahoots to ensure nobody from either party loses their seat.

Kejriwal fired at Badal a day after Punjab’s Deputy chief minister tweeted on January 16 urging the Congress party’s Capt. Amarinder to take on the Lambi seat. Presently, Lambi is the constituency of his father and Punjab CM Prakash Singh Badal. While Amarinder’s home constituency is Patiala but there are certain things doing rounds in the air that the SAD chief minister Parkash in Lambi, and will also stand from Patiala, to ensure he doesn’t lose a legislative seat.

Sukhbir tweeted,”Amarinder is welcome to fight election from Lambi, but then he should not file nomination from Patiala. He should end the dramas now!”

And to this, Kejriwal replied,”Sukhbir ji, aapne hi to kaha tha captain ko Lambi se khada hone ke liye, aapke papa ki madad karne ke liye (Sukhbir ji, you’ve only asked Amarinder to contest from Lambi, so it can help out your father)”

On January 16, AAP had accused the Congress of helping the Punjab CM and his son Sukhbir escape “humiliating defeat” in Lambi and Jalalabad, respectively, by dividing anti-incumbency votes.

In addition, AAP’s campaign committee chairman Bhagwant Mann alleged that both Congress and SAD were knowing that AAP was going to “sweep in Punjab” and that neither Badals nor Amrinder would be seen anywhere. Mann also alleged their families always look after each other’s political interests.

“Contesting from two seats shows the signs of feeling insecurity. But AAP will cause the same fate for Amarinder as that of the Badals. Amarinder can’t change the destiny of Badal who has looted people of Punjab for 10 years and now hiding behind Congress party,” Mann said.
