Canadian PM Justin Trudeau takes part in pride parade

He is the first sitting Prime Minister to take part in three different pride parades in Canada.

Known for his dynamic leadership and inclusive speeches, Justin Trudeau showed another example of inclusivism when he took part in Montreal pride parade.

He is the first sitting Prime Minister to take part in three different pride parades in Canada. He walked with the parade in Toronto, Vancouver and recently in Montreal. The Canadian PM urges Canada to become the leader in universal recognition to human rights of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender community.

The crowd welcomed him warmly and cheered along with him as he joined the parade in Montreal on August 14. Trudeau has been advocating to extend the human rights of the LGBTQ community across the world. The Globe and Mail reported that the 44-year-old leader will also issue an apology to the community for state-sponsored discrimination in the past.

Trudeau has been campaigning in Canada to lead from the front in recognising human rights of the LGBTQ community. The Metronews.ca reported that the leader said the world looks to Canada for leadership in the fight for universal recognition of the human rights of the LGBTQ community.

Canada legalised same-sex sexual activities in 2005 becoming the first non-European country to do so.
