Watch: 'Ajmal Kasab was just a pawn, Kulbhushan Jadhav a bigger terrorist than him', says Pervez Musharraf

On taking the case of Kulbhushan Jadhav to the ICJ, Pervez Musharraf believes that Pakistan should not have even appeared in the court. "None has the right to dictate us about our security," said Pervez Musharraf

Two days after International Court of Justice (ICJ) stayed the execution of Indian national Kulbhushan Jadhav until a final decision by the court, former President of Pakistan, Pervez Musharraf said that Kulbhushan Jadhav is a bigger terrorist than Ajmal Kasab.

Pervez Musharraf said, the Pakistani citizen, Ajmal Kasab who was hanged by India for his role in the 26/11 Mumbai attack in which 164 people lost their lives, was just a “pawn” whereas Jadhav “may have killed many people”.

According to a Pakistani News channel, ARY News, “Kasab was just a pawn but Jhadav was fueling terrorism and may have killed a number of people in sabotage activities,” said Pervez Musharraf.

On taking the case of Kulbhushan Jadhav to the ICJ, Pervez Musharraf believes there was no need for it and that Pakistan should not have even appeared in the court. “None has the right to dictate us about our security,” said Pervez Musharraf.

Last month, a military court in Pakistan has awarded death sentence to a former Navy officer Kulbhushan Jadhav for his alleged involvement in espionage and sabotage activities against the country. Pakistan claimed it arrested Indian national Jadhav last year from Balochistan, while India said that he was kidnapped from Iran and his presence in Pakistan has never been explained credibly.

India said to Pak High Commission,” The Government of India, through its High Commission in Islamabad, has repeatedly sought consular access to him, as provided for by international law. Requests to that effect were formally made 13 times between 25 March 2016 and 31 March 2017. This was not permitted by the Pakistani authorities”.
