The Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017 which was held in Barcelona not only unveiled high-tech gadgets but also witnessed tech experts from around the globe. But what draw the attention along with the gadgets was Google’s CEO Sundar Pichai. Pichai was there to attend the event along with his team. MCW 2017 took place between February 27 to March 2 at Gran Via de Fira de Barcelona.
In the MCW 2017, FC Barcelona also participated at the event where President Josep Maria Bartomeu announced the Barca Innovation Hub project.
During the MCW event, Pichai took a visit to the mecca of FC Barcelona, the La Masia. He went to La Masia where he attended a team training session led by Barcelona coach Luis Enrique and met Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and captain Andres Iniesta along with players.He also visited the Ciutat Esportiva de Sant Joan Despi near to the city of Barcelona and met Ter Stegen, the goalkeeper of FC Barcelona.
Sundar Pichai
The Google’s CEO also received a gift during his visit. FC Barcelona gifted a team jersey to Pichai with his initials ‘Sundar’ engraved on it. He gots his Jersey signed by the club legend, Andrés Iniesta.
MWC is one of the biggest technology events where smartphone makers from around the globe participate to showcase their latest products.
He met Real Madrid’s Luis Suarez as well who is FC Barcelona’s biggest rival.
