This year's Republic Day parade will see 40 tribals as special guests

The guest will also get a chance to meet the President, the Prime Minister, and the Vice-President.

Like every year, this time too the Republic Day parade will witness the guests like the President and the Prime Minster of India but what will be different this time is the presence of 40 tribals guests who will be coming from different parts of the country on the invitation from the government for the parade to be held on the Rajpath.

The guests will also get a chance to meet the President, Pranab Mukherjee, the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and the Vice-President, Hamid Ansari. As told by ministry official they will be taken for a tour in and around Delhi.

In a 95 minute program, 23 tableaux from the central government departments and various states will showcase the events related to the culture, history and development.

Children from three schools in Delhi and from a school in Nagpur will also be participating in the parade.This will be after a gap of three years that Delhi tableau will take a part in the 68th Republic Day parade. The tableau, Model School, will present the changes that and the improve in the quality of education that the government schools has seen over the years. In front of the Presidential dais, every children group will perform for around 2 minutes

Total of four helicopters would pave the way for the parade commander. The national flag will be carried by the lead helicopter will carry the national flag, while the other three would carry services flags as echelon aircraft would shower flower petals.

After 23 years on 68th Republic Day Parade, Lakshadweep will also be participating in the parade with other states like Odisha, Arunachal Pradesh, Maharashtra, Manipur, Gujarat, Karnataka, Himachal Pradesh. Union territory tableau will be focusing on various hidden destinations and the opportunities available for tourism.

This year the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and the Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan will be the Chief Guest .
