In yet another incident that raises serious concerns over safety of woman in metro cities , an air hostess was allegedly sexually assaulted and injured by a biker at a posh locality in Bengaluru.

The incident took place at about 10 PM on February 12 when the woman along with her friend was walking home at HRBR layout in northern part of the city. The man wearing a full-face helmet started manhandling the victim and tore up her top.

She also suffered injuries in her attempt to resist the attack. The biker, however, fled after two woman raised an alarm. The victim filed a police complaint two days later. Police have registered an FIR under Section 354 (outraging modesty) of IPC and investigation is underway.

According to reports, Even after six days since the complaint was lodged, Police is yet to make any breakthrough in the case. Bengaluru attracted national attention for wrong reasons in the beginning of the year, after mass molesation was reported in the IT hub on News year eve.
