#GoofUp: Weatherman ‘Battles’ Winds While People Casually Stroll By

While people accused him of being 'overly dramatic', the channel said that he lost balance because he was standing on grass

Hurricane Florence poised as a major threat before hitting the United States but nothing could have prepared people for when a weather reporter tried to ‘battle’ the winds when there were no winds to battle at all. In the video shared on Twitter, two men can be seen walking at a comfortable and relaxed pace behind Mike Seidel from the Weather Channel who appears to be struggling to maintain his balance.

He tells the camera:

“We’re in one of these bands. This is about as nasty as it’s been.”

So dramatic! Dude from the weather channel bracing for his life, as 2 dudes just stroll past. #HurricaneFlorence pic.twitter.com/8FRyM4NLbL

People noticed something off in the whole reportage and called him out. The channel then came out with an explanation:

“It’s important to note that the two individuals in the background are walking on concrete, and Mike Seidel is trying to maintain his footing on wet grass, after reporting on-air until 1:00 a.m. ET this morning and is undoubtedly exhausted.”

But Tweeps, as always, were savage AF:
