Shoaib Akhtar and Wasim Akram have come together once more in this new Pakistani commercial for the reality game show Geo Khelo Pakistan. In this dramatic rendition, the two Pakistani cricketers collaborate as farmers who are recommending their new reality TV show. From jazzy intercuts to the dramatic repetition of shots for emphasis, this brand new advertisement has every camera and editing trick under the tree. While both of them may have been great bowlers and may have also created several records for their country, acting doesn’t seem to be their cup of tea. Pakistani fast bowlers had earlier featured a television promo for the same TV show. The two fast-paced bowlers have been testing the waters in comedy and their careers in the small screen.
People took to Twitter to name and shame the Pakistani cricket veterans on their poor comedy, their average acting skills, the lewd jokes, their clown-like getups and the extent of buffoonery that has been showcased in the advertisement.
The Ramzaan promo ads featuring Wasim Akram & Shoaib Akhtar on Geo, are more embarrassing than the 1999 world cup final.
