Chinese authorities claim that their troops can reach Delhi in 48 hours, Twitter has a field day

A Chinese television broadcaster claimed that if a war breaks out between India and China, their troops will enter Delhi in 48 hours and got slammed by the Twitterverse.

Twitter had a field day as our less than friendly western neighbor China made some shocking claims over the weekend. Chinese authorities claimed that if a war breaks out between India and China, their troops will reach Delhi within 48 hours.

Here’s the tweet that caused the controversy:

CHINA: State TV says it would take country’s motorised troops 48 hours and its paratroops 10 hours to reach India’s capital if war broke out

  1. Delhi traffic will finally be put to a good use

@spectatorindex China does not know that India’s capital is protected on all sides by massive tactical traffic jams. @Asif_AAP

3. Beware of Kejriwal’s tweets and Ashutosh’s english!

Dear China, Delhi is well protected by Somnath Bharti’s dogs, Kejriwal’s tweets and Ashutosh’s English. Think twice before taking any step.

5. If they’re using Made in China products then we are safe.

@spectatorindex Hope China has not used “Made In China” parts to motorise their troops because it wil surely fail them in Himalayas.

7. That’s simple math!

Think I got the 48h Chinese threat.
Thiruvananthapuram Rajdhani Express takes ~42h.
Adding 6h from CPM Kerala HQ that makes 48h to Delhi.

8. All of Delhi autowallahs when united, can give Chinese troops a run for their money!

@Raheelk @spectatorindex carry enough spares for Bihar, UP and Bengal roads. Also beware of autowallahs, they drive rash.
