Chechnya opens world’s first gay concentration camps, Twitter is appalled

With this disgusting move, Russian republic of Chechnya becomes the first state in Europe, since Hitler's time to open concentration camps for homosexuals.

Contrary to the Netherlands, where straight men, including politicians, policemen and citizens, held hands in support of the rights of the LGBTQI community, Russian republic of Chechnya opened gay concentration camps as a ‘preventive’ measure. This is the first time since Hitler, that a European country has taken such horrifying and obnoxious measure.

A Russian newspaper has reported that homosexuals in Chechnya are being rounded-up, detained and imprisoned. This is administration’s move to ‘purge’ the Chechen society of the evil, that is, homosexuality. Chechen society is considered to be a conservative one, which views homosexuality as a disease. Reportedly, homosexuals are being asked to either leave the state or be killed. But the Chechen leader, Ramzan Kadyrov’s office has denied the reports, claiming that ‘there are no homosexuals in Chechnya’.
Unlike the Netherlands, the Chechens haven’t come out in support of their homosexual community but the micro-blogging site, Twitter, is appalled as well as disgusted by Chechnya’s move and people are not mincing words, criticizing the Chechen authorities. Chechnya’s move has outraged people all over the world and #Chechnya is trending since morning.
