Body positive #ImNoAngel campaign wants women to love who they are

This hashtag is promoting everything that this body image obsessed world needs right now

It’s a great week to be a woman of plus-size or a body type which cannot be categorised in the usual set boxes of body image that society has deemed as acceptable. #ImNoAngel Challenge is back and the campaign is winning hearts all over the globe. The campaign which started out to target the ideal image reinforced by Victoria’s Secret angels. The campaign is a counter to the claim that only a certain body type is acceptable in the fashion world. Lane Bryant models call themselves, the anti-angels. These models are not zero size figures that we are used to seeing. No, they are curvier and far more representative of the average American woman. As a bold step to distance herself from Victoria’s Secret, Lane Bryant is targeting the lingerie market with a tongue-in-cheek campaign. The social media hashtag #ImNoAngel features a video of six lingerie-clad women, including Swimsuits for All spokesperson Ashley Graham. These women are talking about what makes them feel sexy.

These women are talking about what makes them feel sexy and we are sure loving every moment of it.

“It’s all about how you feel,” one model says.

The Orange is the New Black actress Danielle Brooks has also joined hands with the campaign which asks women to post photos of themselves on social media feeling confident and beautiful. The hashtag #ImNoAngel is promoting a strong body image for all models or women of different body types.

All over Facebook, Twitter and Instagram women began posting pictures in their lingerie

I’m kicking off the #ImNoAngel Challenge asking @traceeellisross, @daniebb3 & @ddlovato to dare to share their truths or donate to I Am B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L foundation!! Lets hear your truth, girls!

One of the hardest things I used to struggle with is comparing myself to other women. Worrying about all the places that jiggle and the marks on my body from changes over the years. There’s days where I still struggle with self confidence to feel good about myself. I realised I have cellulite, stretch marks, jiggly bits just like nearly every other woman in the world has. Ive learnt to tell myself ‘I’m Enough and to love myself just as I am’ Everyday I stand in front of the mirror and look at myself and tell myself all the things I love about myself so that my mind doesn’t take over and bully my body. It doesn’t matter what race, what religion, what size we are. We are all beautiful and unique. We all have a story and never know what someone has been through or is going through. Self love has kept me sane!

I have been a body positive advocate and promoted self love for a few months now but until very recently I was still hiding all my floors! My #thunderthighs #cellulite #stretchmarks and #bigbut. Why I am not sure? I am confident but still felt the need to post photos that cover my problem areas. Yesterday my fellow model @thekoreamichelle took this photo #bts @heavenlysed @luxxurybackground photo shoot. And for the first time I saw myself #curvy #fullfigured and still #sexy. #ilovemyself just as I am and I am not afraid to say that Anymore – #unedited #nofilter #lingerie #photoshoot #plusmodel #plussizemodel #curvyfit #curvymodel #modelscouts #bodypositivity #thickwomen #booty #thickandsexy #thickthighs #psmodel #modelscout #weloveyourgenes #thelookout #ImNoAngel
