Virat Kohli entertains the crowd, does ‘Bhangra’ after scoring goal in extra time — Watch Video

Virat Kohli succeeded scoring a goal in the extra time and celebrated the feat by doing a few 'Bhangra' steps

Virat Kohli scored a goal in the extra time after several attempts in The Celebrity Classico football match that was played between Virat Kohli-led All Hearts and Ranbir Kapoor-led All Stars. Kohli said in an interview with Jatin Sapru before the match that if he scored a goal he would celebrate it with a dab. Kohli stayed true to his words by celebrating with teammate KL Rahul doing the dab dance alongside entertaining the crowd with a little ‘Bhangra’. Kohli single-handedly snatched the ball from All Stars FC’s defender and managed to score past the goalkeeper in a one-on-one. The 28-year-old was ecstatic after he got to score a goal in the end as he was denied the chance several times in the charity match.

Kohli’s goal added misery to All Stars FC as they lost the game to All Hearts FC by 7-3. The skipper also assisted two goals, Kedar Jadhav benefitted from a deflected shot which registered his name on the scoring sheet. Kohli was seen in almost every position on the field trying to put pressure on the opposition.

After MS Dhoni’s ‘bend it like Beckham’ skills scoring one of his goals with a free kick, it was Kohli’s goal which took social media by storm. Dhoni got the ‘Man of the match’ award in the Celebrity Classico game for scoring two goals. Dhoni’s footballing skills as well as his positioning were top notch.

Here’s the video of the celebration –

All Hearts FC clearly dominated All Stars FC in both the games. Only Ranbir Kapoor stood out of the latter’s lot by netting two goals. One of the goals scored was from the far end, surprising everyone both in the commentary box and the crowd.

Before playing in the Celebrity Classico, Kohli confessed in an interview that he thought of himself as Cristiano Ronaldo. He also said that he considered himself as a complete player and there were no flaws in him as a football player with a FIFA rating of 98. Though he said it jokingly, his comments went viral on social media.

Team India led by Virat Kohli will soon be hosting New Zealand with the 1st ODI slated to take place on October 22.
