Australian captain Steven Smith seems to be having a whale of a time, we saw him play baseball in New York and also lead Rising Pune Supergiant to their first ever final in the Indian Premier League. Off-the-field we have seen Smith to be shy and has a heart for travelling, apart from spending time with his girlfriend Dani Willis. Let me remind, this comes in between all the news surrounding pay disputes with Cricket Australia. Well, Steven Smith was the one who took over from Michael Clarke when Australia lost the Ashes to England in 2015. The 28-year old, who is more known to be a shy man, was the total opposite when it came to proposing his girlfriend for marriage.

Who is Dani Willis?

Dani Willis is a law student who loves travelling as well apart from being an avid swimmer. She is from Australia and of course, henceforth she loves bowling too. A fun fact about her that she is a Virat Kohli admirer and has got photographed with him.

In fact some would recall that it was when Steve Smith had met Dani Willis prior to coming for the India tour and that stunned us as till then he had kept it hush-hush.

So how did the proposal happen?

Apparently, it was something Shahrukh Khan did all his life to win the hearts of female leads in Bollywood for years and succeeded. Will you believe an Aussie will do the same? Well, yes Steven Smith surprised the world by going down on his knees while proposing to Dani Willis. The classical way!
