Special Olympian Manali Manoj Shelke’s Grit To Perform After Failing Thrice Is All The Motivation You Need

An inspiration to all budding athletes out there who are on the verge of giving up

Special Olympian Manali Manoj Shelke taught us something very special in the ongoing 2019 Special Olympics in Dubai. The powerlifter failed thrice to lift the weight. Eventually, her coach got in front of her and motivated her. In an attempt to boost Manali’s confidence, the coach got the crowd to rally behind her and somehow the 19-year-old managed to lift the weight. As soon as she finished the task, she ran towards her coach and hugged him.

The video is going viral on the internet:

This is beautiful. These kids man. What they deal with @ such a young age realizing that they have a tougher road and are different. Anyone that has ever been under the bar and wondered whether you’d make it back up knows how she feels. To do it again and again shows such courage

The Indian contingent have had a great run in the Special Olympics 2019 so far. They are currently second on the points tally but have the most number of medals (gold, silver and bronze combined). India are only behind Russia with 37 gold, 42 silver and 46 bronze medals in the bag already (the medal tally may change).
