“Sorry BCCI”, fans apologise for stone attack on Australia team bus — PIC INSIDE

It is good that fans have placed an apology as this kind of behaviour does not stand a place in a country that treats its guests like god

After the stone pelting on the Australian cricket bus came to light in Guwahati after the 2nd T20I its seems the fans have realised their mistake and have apologised in a unique manner. The incident took place after die-hard Indian fans could not digest the fact that India had lost by 8 wickets and that is what irked them to react in the manner they did. This is an incident that has shamed India in the global cricketing circuit. The local ministers too condemned the act. On October 11, the two miscreants were nabbed by the local police and now interrogations will take place.

But fans soon realised their mistake and apologised in a unique manner. To make up for the embarrassment caused by one fan, several cricket lovers stood outside the visitor’s hotel with posters offering an apology for the wrongdoing.

Earlier in September, a rock was thrown at their bus during a Test match in Chittagong, Bangladesh.

These are incidents that cricket could do better off, it only brings a bad name to the sport and the nation pays for it, the classic example in this regard is Pakistan. The Sri Lankan bus that was attacked by terrorists. That meant cricket was not played in Pakistan for nearly a decade. India certainly does not want to go the Pakistan way and hence fans have to be responsible from now on.

Australian cricketer Aaron Finch was the first one who tweeted about the incident on his Twitter page.

Pretty scary having a rock thrown through the team bus window on the way back to the hotel!! pic.twitter.com/LBBrksaDXI

His teammate Moises Henriques also responded, accepting the apology shown by the Indian fans post the episode.

Whilst the bus home last night wasn’t ideal, the support from fans & children across Assam today in response was kind. Cheers 2 good vibes__
