Former Australian opener Matthew Hayden seems to be in awe of India. He has shown his love for the country by posting the English version of the national anthem of India, that too on the 71st Independence Day. The post that was shared on 15th August already has in excess of 1K RT’s which shows it is being noticed by people.
Matthew Hayden has also been an integral part of the Indian Premier League. He represented the Chennai Super Kings, before the franchise was banned for notorious reasons. Still, Hayden’s popularity hasn’t gone down, as he was also a part of the broadcasting unit during the Tamil Nadu Premier League.
He hit the bull’s eye with the English version of ‘Jana Gana Mana’, with the lyrics true to the translation! Hayden has admitted in the past that he loves travelling across India because of its vivid culture, heritage and of course food. Well, Chetan Bhagat should now be interested in writing a book on him titled, ‘HALF INDIAN’!

He used to usually open with wicketkeeper Adam Gilchrist and the two of them formed a lethal pair at the top of the Australia order in limited overs cricket.
