Rising Pune Supergiant, who have slowly but surely made up for lost ground earlier in the tournament, would like to carry that momentum forward against a low-on-confidence Gujarat Lions. Gujarat Lions have had a season to forget after topping the table last year; this year, they are right at the bottom of the table, which is not good for a team that boasts of big players.

On the other hand, with the likes of Smith, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Manoj Tiwary and local boy Rahul Tripathi being among the runs so far, RPS would hope for them to fire in unison today.

It is for RPS to win the game and for Gujarat Lions, they can at best play party-poopers.

This happens to be the second match of the double-header Monday and the match starts at 2000 hrs.
