In a sad piece of news for Kolkata Knight Riders fans, weatherman has predicted that drizzle may play spoilsport during the high-voltage clash between Kolkata Knight Riders and Mumbai Indians in the Qualifier 2 game of the Indian Premier League season 10 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on May 19.

Possibilities

  1. Limited Over Game: If it begins to rain during the game for a short period of time, then there could be a possibility of few-over game as M Chinnaswamy Stadium can be quickly dried out with the help of SubAir drainage system and efficient ground staff.
  2. Walkover: In a washout situation, Mumbai Indians, thanks to their higher position in the points table, will progress into the finals and will face Rising Pune Supergiant in Hyderabad on May 21.

Earlier on May 17. during the Kolkata Knight Riders vs Sunrisers Hyderabad game, rain played spoilsport after SRH innings and the game was reduced to 6 overs. KKR was given the revised target 48 in 6 overs. Gautam Gambhir played the captain’s knock to guide his team to a victory over David Warner-led Sunrisers Hyderabad.
