In a must-win battle, Glenn Maxwell led Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) is set to take on Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in an Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017’s match at the Punjab Cricket Association Stadium in Mohali on May 9. With only five wins from 11 matches, KXIP now need to win all their remaining three matches if they wish to have any chance of making it to the knock-out stage. Wherein, KKR have already sealed their playoff berth. The Gautam Gambhir-led side are now at the second spot in the league table with 16 points from 12 matches.

KXIP will be hoping that Hashim Amla, Glenn Maxwell, Martin Guptill, Shaun Marsh, Manan Vohra, Wriddhiman Saha and Axar Patel will perform in the do-or-die battle. On the other hand, with Chris Lynn return KKR side is now a much more dangerous. Moreover, Robin Uthappa, out with a hamstring injury, is expected to return to this game.
