IPL 10 SRH v DD: In pics, Kane Williamson hammers 89 off 51 balls, makes SRH regret their decision to exclude him till now!

Hitting 5 sixes and 6 fours, Williamson could score a magnificent 89 off 51 balls and also scored his first ever IPL 10 half century

Kiwi skipper Kane Williamson debuted in the game number 21 of the Indian Premier League against the Delhi Daredevils and after his swashbuckling performance with the bat raises only one question, “Where were you till now.” After a long time, Williamson was seen in his best form in the shorter format of the cricket and he utilised this chance to play for the Sunrisers Hyderabad superbly.

SRH skipper David Warner won the toss and elected to bat first. Following the same order, Warner and Shikhar Dhawan came to open the innings but couldn’t withstand the Delhi bowling attack for a longer duration. In the second over, Warner was dismissed by Chris Morris for 4 runs off just 7 balls. It was an early blow to the Sunrisers and from that point of time, a stagnant partnership was needed.

The team was reduced to 12/1 when Kane Williamson came to bat at number 3 and then, the actual show kickstarted. Both Dhawan and Williamson led started scoring like never before. On one hand, Shikhar Dhawan was looking in an attacking mode while on the other, Williamson was blazing his guns furiously.

Hitting 5 sixes and 6 fours, Williamson could score a magnificent 89 off 51 balls and also scored his first ever IPL 10 half century. Unfortunately, this superb inning came to an end after Williamson was dismissed by Chris Morris when he tried to hit a bigger one towards the leg-side.

Both Shikhar Dhawan and Kane Williamson carried the inning from 12/1 to 148/2 together and by the end, Sunrisers Hyderabad managed to put 191 runs on the board after losing just four wickets.

The Twitterati also enjoyed Williamson’s batting and what they said was simply worth reading

People said that Kane Williamson is not a T-20 player and now he played an ideal T-20 inning. #SRHvDD

Good to see how the #Sunrisers batsmen bat around each other. Normally @davidwarner31 and today Williamson giving Dhawan the time he needed

Dhawan, Williamson take Sunrisers to a tall 191. Fabulous performance! Let’s wait and see what the Daredevils have to say. #UnshakableSpirit
