Welcome to inUth’s live digital coverage of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017’s Match 14 at Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). This is a contest between two evenly matched sides as both of them are on 2nd and 3rd spot respectively. SRH and KKR have already registered two big wins out of three matches they have played. It will be interesting to see whether Gautam Gambhir’s aces work this time or not.
In the previous match, Gambhir used Sunil Narine to open the bowling and it worked in their favour. David Warner too himself is in good form, so does Gambhir who is donning the Orange Cap. Both the teams have young guns performing well for them.
But, the X-factor for SRH is Afghanistan leg-spinner Rashid Khan who has been bowling phenomenally in the series, almost none has been able to pick his bowling, he is one of the contenders for Purple Cap right from Game 1.
Yuvraj Singh too looked in his prime in the IPL 2017 opener but got out early against Mumbai Indians. SRH do not have a deep batting lineup, KKR will keep that in mind when they take up bowling. Their star player from the previous season, Mustafizur Rahman will have a role to play at Eden Gardens and a chance to prove that he has not lost his sheen.
It will be interesting to see whether Warner includes their in-form player Moises Henriques who was sick before the previous game. Henriques has been in good from both with bat and ball. He had already scored 2 half-centuries in two matches.
