Harvik Desai hogged the limelight after India U-19 team cruised to lift the U-19 World Cup 2018. Well, he was in the spotlight because many felt he resembled the former captain of India — Mahendra Singh Dhoni — when it came to wicketkeeping. Earlier in the tournament, there were also parallels drawn between Prithvi Shaw and Sachin Tendulkar. These young Turks have become the toast of the nation.

So let us look at Harvik Desai and figure out why such comparisons between him and Dhoni have stolen the limelight. The 18-year-old Saurashtrian had been playing solid behind the stumps in the World Cup, taking 3 catches in the final. He also comes in handy with the bat, just like MS Dhoni in the backend of the innings. He scored a handsome 47 and remained not out in the summit clash against Australia.
