Watch: Virat Kohli, Cheteshwar Pujara ‘cream the ball’ in the nets!

India v Australia Ranchi: Virat Kohli and his boys hit the ground running. Virat Kohli and Cheteshwar Pujara were spotted at the nets, practicing side-by-side

Oh yes! Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli—India’s high profile No 3 and 4—are, in a way, the most important players in the team—and the very bankable as well. On one hand, we have Cheteshwar Pujara, who is in some sort of a form after his 92 in Bengaluru, while on the other, there is Indian skipper Virat Kohli, who is going through the worst slump of his career. In the two Test matches that he has played, he has not got a single 20+ score.

Team India reached Ranchi yesterday amidst the DRS controversy. But that did not bother the Indian folks. Virat Kohli and his boys hit the ground running. Virat Kohli and Cheteshwar Pujara were spotted on the nets, practising side-by-side.

In the video released by BCCI, we find Pujara is towards the camera in a net and Kohli in the net beside.

No.3 and No.4 in full flow. How’s that for a drive from @cheteshwar1 and a pull from @imVkohli #TeamIndia #INDvAUS pic.twitter.com/TcQrpNAKdK

Virat Kohli was looking to adapt to the short pitch delivery. He was seen pulling short balls with disdain in the nets. Pujara, on the other hand, was perfecting his footwork against the spinners. He was looking to dance down the track to the spinners and meet the ball. Pujara had a few issues against the spinning ball; hence, he was looking to sharpen that aspect of his game.

In under 24 hours from now, India will enter the third Test at Ranchi with their noses in front but considering it is Australia, the tide could shift soon and Virat Kohli has to be wary of that fact. The series is well poised at 1-1.
