Watch: How is that for a celebration, thanks to showstopper R. Ashwin!

Showstopper Ashwin Ravi in the house. How is that for a celebration? #INDvBAN

Celebrations, appeals, jubilation, some cricketers have created their own uncanny niche in doing them.

The famous ‘Chaampion dance’ by Dwayne Bravo or be it Chris Gayle’s ‘gangnam dance’, they now have a place in our heart.

Ravichandran Ashwin, known to be a serious student of the game hardly engages in such antics but to everyone’s delight Ashwin joined in the party after dismissing Mushfiqur Rahim. Very unlikely to see the tweaker celebrate in this fashion but he probably was having a hangover off his world record that prompted him to engage in a celebration, we have rarely seen him in.

Bangladesh were looking to play for a draw with their backs to the wall at 162 for 4, chasing a mammoth 459 set by India.

Bangladesh’s best batsman and their biggest hope Mushfiqur Rahim was batting with an entire nations hope pinned on him. He continued his good form in to the second innings. But in an attempt to throw Ashwin off his line and length, Rahim advanced down the track to hit one out of the park, only to get the leading edge and hold out to cover.

In the context of the game, this was the most priced scalp India was eyeing for, because Rahim has the experience and the calibre to bat on and on.

But then Ashwin went on a celebration spree knowing the importance of the wicket. He was seen waving of to the crowd suggesting that the game is now in the pocket. Rahim was fuming at his dismissal knowing that he allowed India a big opening.
