Dhawan has played 23 Tests for India, having scored 1,474 runs including four centuries and three fifties. He became the fastest Test centurion on debut when he achieved the feat off just 85 balls against Australia in Mohali three years ago. He went on to score a massive 187 off just 174 balls.

On the other hand, Dhawan has represented India in 74 one-day internationals, in which he has notched up 3,078 runs including nine hundreds and 17 fifties. The defining moment in his limited overs career came in 2013 when he won the Man-of-The-Series award in the ICC Champions Trophy, which India won.
