Virat Kohli engages in 'kite flying' in the third Test at Feroz Shah Kotla! — WATCH

Virat Kohli caught-on-camera doing just Delhiwallah things!

Virat Kohli takes the centerstage every time he enters the field. In a rather dull affair on Day 5 of the India vs Sri Lanka third Test at the Feroz Shah Kotla, Delhi, Kohli engaged in something different other than playing cricket. The Indian skipper noticed a kite which entered the ground during the match. Kohli picked it up and looked at it like every Delhiwallah would when he comes across a kite lying unclaimed on the ground.

The 29-year-old collected the cotton thread of the kite which flew across the ground. Meanwhile, the Delhi crowd was ecstatic and cheering from the stands seeing Kohli with a kite, a quite unusual sight on the field. Though he folded the kite and gave it to the umpire later on.

Here’s the recorded video from the stands that a spectator posted on Youtube –

The Indian Cricket Team’s Instagram handle too posted the photo of Kohli looking at the kite which has got a pile of reactions in the comments section –

Kohli has taken a break from international cricket after India registered their 9th Test series win on the trot. Though it was not the perfect ending to the series as the third Test ended in a draw after a spirited fight from Sri Lankan batsmen on Day 5, scoring 299 runs for 5 wickets.

Kohli will not be playing in the three-match ODI and three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka. In his absence, Rohit Sharma will be leading the Indian side in the limited overs format. Kohli will be returning to the Indian squad for the upcoming South Africa tour which will work as a decider on India’s dominance in Test cricket.
