Twitterati finds Chris Jordan’s one-handed catch against Kiwi’s similar to Vettori’s 2015 WC effort. Do you agree? — WATCH

It seemed like England's Chris Jordan plucked a fruit from a tree!

It seemed like England’s Chris Jordan plucked a fruit from a tree!

Jordan took a screamer of Colin de Grandhomme to send him packing of the very first ball of his innings. Stationed at the boundary line, it seemed the ball was travelling for a six. But that was not to be as the tall-frame of Jordan helped him leap in the air and then take a one-handed catch which will be remembered for some time to come. England takes on New Zealand at Wellington in the ongoing T20I tri-series. Batting first, New Zealand scored a mighty 195, thanks to Kane Williamson’s 72 off 46 balls.

But what hogged the limelight from the match was the brilliant catch by Jordan. Netizens were quick to spot similarities between the catch taken by Jordan to that taken by Daniel Vettori during the 2015 WC. What is more startling is the fact that both the catches were taken at the same ground. So here is how Twitter reacted to the catch.

Chris Jordan’s catch here was more or less exactly like Rameez Shahzad’s which turned the game for UAE yesterday pic.twitter.com/8NykL3M8bo
