Sreesanth approaches Kerala HC to get NOC from BCCI to return on the cricket field

Sreesanth is worried that the Indian cricket board may try to delay in giving the NOC, thus, he has approached the Kerala HC to intervene

After getting cleared from the spot-fixing charges by the Kerala High Court, Indian fast bowler S Sreesanth has sought legal help to presume his cricketing career. The Kerala lad is eager to play the Premier league matches of Glenrothes Cricket Club in Scotland and has conveyed this message to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) so as to get the No Objection Certificate (NOC).

According to several media reports, Sreesanth is worried that the Indian cricket board may try to delay in giving the NOC, thus, he has approached the Kerala HC to intervene. The tournament will conclude on September 9. The petition filed by Sreesanth says.”Without the intervention of this court by issuing the necessary clarification, this petitioner reasonably apprehends that the BCCI may not issue such NOC.”

Though the Kerala HC has lifted the ban, the BCCI still wants the decision to be reconsidered. The tournament in Scotland is about to begin in less than a month time and NOC is the only way he can feature in the tournament.

A few days ago, Sreesanth slammed the Indian cricket board on Twitter where he mentioned his innocence and cited that he would be back on the cricket field.

Sreesanth’s bowling career came to a sudden halt after he was found involved in the 2013 IPL spot-fixing scandal. The 34-year-old cricketer is determined to prove himself clear and return on the ground as soon as possible.
