Sourav Ganguly’s Selfie At Lord’s Balcony Gets A Cheeky Response From Nasser Hussain

Nasser Hussain pokes fun at Sourav Ganguly for his selfie at Lord's balcony

There is not one cricket fan who hasn’t seen Indian cricket’s most iconic moment of the 21st century — former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly waving his shirt in the balcony of Lord’s cricket ground, celebrating the team’s miraculous win over England in the final of NatWest Trophy 2002. However, Ganguly has expressed his regret for the Lord’s gesture several times. It was an answer to former England all-rounder Andrew Flintoff waving his shirt at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.

Lord’s cricket ground holds a special place in Ganguly’s heart. He scored his maiden century on his Test debut at the same venue. On July 9, Ganguly posted a selfie on the balcony and posted on his Twitter account —

Former England skipper Nasser Hussain, who was also the captain of the side in the final of NatWest 2002 series, took a dig at Ganguly —

You’re on that balcony again … nice to see you with your shirt on !!

Lord’s Cricket Ground’s Twitter handle too joined in as they posted a GIF of Ganguly waving his shirt —
