Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar made big bold headlines with his ferocious batting skills till he retired. After retirement, he came into the limelight for being involved in activities apart from cricket, and recently due to the release of his biopic. However, for the last two days, social media has erupted with people trolling the Indian cricket legend for his rare appearance in the Rajya Sabha on August 3.

Soon after the issue of the absence of Rajya Sabha members was raised by Samajwadi Party MP, Naresh Agarwal, the ‘God of Cricket’ marked his rare appearance in the upper house. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP supremo Amit Shah also pulled up the absentee MPs. Along with Sachin, boxer Mary Kom was also present in the House.

Celebrities like Rekha, Sachin Tendulkar have failed to maintain a fair attendance in the house. As per the parliamentary records, since he was nominated in 2012, Sachin was present in 23 sittings out of the 348 days the parliament was in session. Same goes with Bollywood veteran actress Rekha who was present for only 18 sittings.
